My eight year olds funny bone

My eight year old Abhishekh when asked, what was the theme for this year's Xmas play, replied " Last year we had the Cowboy X'mas , I think this year we may have the Xmas play based on - How did Mary get baby Jesus ?"- making my wife and I split up with laughter as this could be the most theologically challenging play for the Sunday school !

Son of Joe - strikes again !

My eight year old, Abhishekh Samuel, was discussing with his mother about how he was going to spend Monday which was a Holiday for us. My wife told him she would take him to her mother's home for lunch. He was excited and already started to recite what menu he would ask her to make for him - " Yes I will ask Ammachi ( Grandmother in Tamil from the mother's side) to make Prawns fried in masala and fish gravy !" To which my wife responded " No, I will ask her to make Chicken gravy instead !"

Abhishekh responded without batting an eyelid" She is only your mother - she is a GRAND Mother to me ! - Do you know the meaning of the word "Grand"?"

My wife was left speechless and dazed, and I was doubling with laughter.

That makes one grandma mighty happy !!
